This week we were asked to create a flyer for a business or school. I chose to try my hand at creating a new flyer for Warrior Mouthguards for a Christmas special coming up. Some of the issues I have is that there is a specific font that is used my Warrior Mouthguards and so I have to incorporate that as well as add in my own ideas. I struggle with finding the right fonts for each occasion, I understand the importance but I struggle with what looks good together.
For this project I used several layers to create the flyer. I had to cut out the mouth guards from images I had and clean them up with brushes and masks. I used transparency and gradients to give myself space to work with the wording while keeping aspects of the images. Drop shadows are my new favorite thing! It makes the words pop off the page and bring them to the front. There is a shadow under the mouth guards to make the image look like it is floating. Although I did already have the vector object to work with originally from the company, it helped with the pop effect I was looking for.
